Questions parents ask

Learning, settling in and the practical details of life at Kids Club.

Curriculum, status & records

Are you a school?

Kids Club is a homeschooling learning center. We combine Euka’s Australian curriculum with in-person teacher guidance, Montessori-inspired practices and mixed-age learning.

Which curriculum do you use?

We use Euka’s Australian curriculum. Our teachers combine this academic foundation with practical activities, play, outdoor learning and local culture. Explore Euka’s curriculum.

Are you under DepEd?

We are a homeschooling center, rather than a DepEd-certified school. We have coordinated with DepEd, the Philippine Department of Education, and have official written confirmation of our status and arrangement.

Can Filipino and international children legally learn with you?

Yes. DepEd, the Philippine Department of Education, has confirmed in writing that it has no objection to Filipino children and children from other countries learning with us through our homeschooling arrangement instead of attending a local DepEd-certified school. We can discuss this written confirmation with your family.

Will my child’s studies be recognized in another country?

In the Philippines: we have written confirmation from DepEd, the Department of Education, that it has no objection to Filipino and international children learning with us through our homeschooling arrangement instead of attending a local DepEd-certified school.

For other countries: parents need to coordinate directly with the relevant education authority or receiving school. So far, we have not encountered a country that raised issues with our approach. Recognition and placement are decided by the receiving authority or school.

Will my child receive a transcript of records?

Yes, academic transcripts and grade reports are available through Euka as an optional arrangement. These are learning records, while additional reporting may be needed for government requirements. We can discuss the appropriate option for your family. See the Euka option in our fees section.

What happens if my child moves to another school?

Our goal is to prepare children to move confidently into other schools, with strong academic foundations, independence and a love of learning. Tell us about your plans so we can discuss your child’s progress and the learning records their next school may need. Optional transcripts are available through Euka.

As we grow to support older ages, our goal is to prepare students for universities worldwide after completing the secondary curriculum. This includes preparation for the entrance exams required by their chosen courses.

Parents should coordinate admission and recognition requirements directly with the receiving school or university. We currently welcome ages 3–7; secondary education is part of our long-term vision.

Joining & settling in

What ages are you accepting?

We welcome children ages 3–7. We will support older ages as Kids Club grows, with a long-term vision of learning through age 18.

Can my child try Kids Club or ease in gradually?

Yes. We offer a daily option for children who are just starting, trying out Kids Club or easing into classes. Talk to us about a starting rhythm that suits your child. See the daily option in our fees section.

Can we join after the learning year has started?

If you are arriving after the start of a term, tell us your child’s age and preferred start date so we can discuss availability and the next steps. See our term starts and calendar.

Can we speak before arriving in the Philippines?

Yes. Start with a video call to discuss your child, the curriculum, your move and the practical details. Share your current city and country so we can arrange a suitable time.

Can siblings join together?

Tell us each child’s age so we can discuss your family’s needs and availability. Current enrollment is for ages 3–7.

What if my child needs extra help settling in or learning?

Tell us about your child’s interests, languages, learning needs and any support they currently receive. We will discuss what they need and whether Kids Club is the right fit before agreeing on next steps.

Does an enquiry confirm a place?

An enquiry starts a conversation. A place and start date are confirmed separately through the enrollment process.

Hours, holidays & fees

What are the daily hours?

Classes run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Optional extracurricular activities run immediately afterward, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The detailed class schedule is shared when you enroll.

How do terms and holidays work?

We have four terms each year. We take a two-week break in December and observe Philippine public holidays. Families can also take their own holidays, with parents responsible for continuing learning in a homeschooling format while away. See our term starts and calendar.

What is included in the fees?

Our fees section brings together the rates, inclusions and optional extras in one place. See all fees and options.

Which extracurricular activities do you offer?

Our organized after-school activities include tennis, swimming, Zumba, arts and crafts, and Bisaya language classes, with more coming. Sessions are led by top coaches and practitioners from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. See fees for the optional program.

Can we travel during a term?

Yes. Children are free to take as many holidays as your family chooses. Parents are responsible for continuing their education in a homeschooling format while they are away. Discuss your plans with us so you can prepare for that learning.

What about lunch, allergies or dietary needs?

Healthy meals are prepared on-site by the restaurant’s chefs. Please discuss allergies, dietary needs and food preferences with us before joining so we can confirm suitable arrangements.

Life in Siquijor

Where are you located?

We are in San Juan, Siquijor, Philippines, within a resort with beach and ocean access, a swimming pool, tennis court and other facilities. Contact us to arrange a visit and receive directions.

Can our family stay at the resort?

Yes. The resort welcomes long-term guests, and Kids Club families can access preferential long-term rates with full access to the facilities, including the co-working space with Starlink Wi-Fi. Ask us about accommodation options, rates and availability. Accommodation is arranged separately from Kids Club fees.

Is the location gated and guarded?

Yes. Our location is fenced and gated, with guard protection. It also has parking, toilets and showers. During your visit, we can walk you through the spaces and discuss daily routines and activities.

How does sustainability fit into daily life?

Our location is solar powered, has its own rainwater system and includes a vegetable garden for the children. These offer practical ways to learn about energy, water, growing food and caring for our surroundings.
